DESCRIPTION

When it comes to all-around performance among rim brake wheels, the Jet RC Black series has no rivals. Starting with a 21mm internal, 25mm external rim width, HED's Jet RC Black wheels feature best-in-class performance in both aerodynamics and braking technology.

We spent hundreds of hours testing and refining a textured braking surface, called Turbine Braking Technology. With special machining and anodizing, the result is a clean, all-black appearance and confidence-inspiring braking performance.

How good is that performance? Compared to other rim brake carbon wheels on the market, 25% shorter stopping distances in dry conditions and 70% shorter stopping distances in wet conditions. Read that again. Our all-black, textured alloy brake track, seamlessly matched to a hyper-aero carbon rim section, give you all-around riding performance with none of the concerns of carbon braking surfaces.

Every facet of wheel performance has been closely analyzed in the Jet RC Black series. From aerodynamics to braking. With performance like that, these Jets will do anything but fly under the radar.

Starting from our revolutionary 25mm-wide Jet Plus aluminum rim, we spent hundreds of hours testing and refining a new braking surface, called Turbine Braking Technology. With special machining and anodizing, the result is a super clean all-black appearance and outstanding brake performance. How great is it? How about 25% shorter stopping distances in dry conditions, or 70% shorter stopping distances in wet conditions. Additionally, the consistency of stopping distances has improved by nearly a factor of five. That’s not a typo. Our all-black alloy rim and carbon cap give you all of the cool factor and none of the safety compromises of rim brake carbon clinchers. No melted rims. No tire and tube failures. Only True Speed.

Weights list are standard 18/24 hole builds. 

Stallion builds typically have a 10-15 business day lead time for fulfilment. 

Tech notes:

1. For all types of bicycle wheels, a hard strike on the rim is likely to result in rim damage. At the point of impact, an aluminum rim will dent, and a carbon rim may delaminate - both are unsafe conditions that require rim replacement.  

2. Tire pressure = 90psi MAX

3. We do NOT recommend hanging a bike equipped with Jet wheels from hooks - this can damage the carbon skin and will not be covered under warranty.
